Evelyn

As I mentioned earlier, Richard and Andrea have a housekeeper who comes three times a week. I have to say, she’s one of the things I think I’ll miss most about my time in Zambia. Evelyn is the most amazing cleaning lady, drycleaner, and personal assistant all in one. She does all the laundry, organizes my room, and writes the shopping list for the house. She also picks things up at the local market to help finish decorating. I’ve been throwing my dirty laundry in the general hamper with R & A’s stuff, or leaving it on the bed. When I didn’t see anything come back, I assumed she was giving all the folded laundry to them. I was about to ask about it, when I noticed that the all of my laundry was either hanging in the closet or folded perfectly in with my other clothes. She somehow knew exactly what was mine, and put it back carefully enough that I didn’t notice! And all of my clothes are cleaner than either myself or any drycleaner has ever managed to get them. Do you think if I marry this woman I could get her a visa?
